Back In Action

Hello, strangers!

I’m back. Sorry to have been gone so long, but I just needed to take a little break. Reality kicked things up a notch, so re-prioritizing was necessary… finding some balance, yet again.

See what I did there with the name of the blog? Cute, right? [insert emoticon]

Brief recap of what has happened since we last spok…err, I wrote and you, maybe, read.

My crafty friend, Sara, had a girls DIY decor night. It confirmed this: I am creative, but not particularly artistic. In my head vs In practice… well, something happens on the way. I was pleased with the way my “e” turned out though!

A sweet friend got married in Asheville. I grew up spending my summers in those mountains (specifically, Black Mountain), so anytime I can get back there is bliss. Also, I accidentally caught the bouquet. Special.

I spent an amazing weekend in Atlanta with my parents. I usually have 3 pretty awesome siblings (+ the best sister-in-law a girl could ask for) running around, so it was kind of fun to get them all to myself. 16 year old me would be shocked.

My first trip to Dallas happened! Bridal shower + bachelorette weekend fun ensued, and I got my first taste (outside the airport) of all that is Texas. Can’t wait for this wonderful friend’s wedding next month!

I went to my first NC State game… and only felt slightly like a traitor. Yes, they are a rival, but hey, I can’t say I’m sorry I took advantage of the absolutely perfect football weather to tailgate with some of my favorite people!

So you see, I had pretty good reason for falling off the face of the earth for a few weeks. Fitting in real life around all that travel was quite a feat, but I’m back in action now.

Now, I’m off to colonial Williamsburg for the weekend. Is this one of those places you can visit in-costume? Because I’ve been looking for an opportunity to wear this cute outfit I just got…

Keep an eye out for some outfit posts, half marathon training info, part 2 of my Canada trip, a recap of the blog girls night out, and some upcoming volunteer opps I’m pumped about!

    1. It has been! Crazy and busy, but wonderful 🙂 I miss you too! I’m thinking about running the Richmond Half Marathon on Nov 10th. It’s pretty flat, which sounds good to me! You training for anything right now? xo
