Hey, what’s up? Got any plans Saturday…?
Ok good because there is an event in downtown Raleigh that you can’t miss! It’s Couture for a Cause, the annual fashion show fundraiser for Activate Good. You may remember me writing about this event last year, but let me tell you, it’s only going getting better.
General Details:
Activate Good pairs local fashion designers and local charities and non-profits. The designers team up with the organization to design two looks inspired by their mission… Project Runway-style.
The event starts with a Hollywood style red carpet entrance and photos, moves to cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, a silent auction and then dives into the fashion show. The designers show off their looks on the runway and then [drumroll please!] the stakes are raised with a live auction! This part is SO much fun – adrenaline pumping, a good cause, awesome clothes and did I mention adrenaline (only if you bid!).
Best of all, the proceeds benefit the local Research Triangle area by supporting Activate Good and the 100+ local non-profits they work with.
So, don’t miss it! This Saturday, November 10th at Marbles in downtown Raleigh — doors open at 7:30pm and the show starts at 8pm on the nose. Get there early to bid on silent auction items and make sure you get a great seat.
I can’t wait to snap photos! See you there at Couture for a Cause 2012!
I came here searching for something else, but this inspired me regardless. Inspiring stuff!
