Bucket List

I have been so incredibly blessed in my 24 25 26 (ah I’m old!) short years on earth, and have experienced so many amazing things, but all of that has simply spurred on my innate wanderlust. It seems only natural that I’d have a bucket list. So, in no particular order, here it is!

1. Go Canyoning in Switzerland

2. Go to the Olympics again (first time in Atlanta 1996!)

3. Bolster the work of adoption/orphanages, either by starting a non-profit, serving on a board, or otherwise. (Served on the board of Bethany Christian Services from 2012-2014)

4. Get married to the love of my life (September 13, 2014… swoon)

5. Run another half-marathon… and run the whole way this time

6. Travel around Europe again, re-visit favorites + visit places I haven’t been. (Spain, Portugal, Ireland. Scandinavia. Eastern Europe.)

7. Visit L’Abri, preferably in Switzerland

8. Hike five 14-ers in the Rockies

9. Get to a healthy weight, where I feel good in my own skin, and maintain

10. Sing… Lead worship. Or find a venue and do an open mic night. Get back into music, however I can.

11. Run a 5K in 25 minutes or fewer.

12. Visit East Asia: China, South Korea, Vietnam, Thailand, Japan, Cambodia, Bali

13. Go wine tasting in California wine country

14. Spend time in Africa: Kenya, Ghana, Uganda, Rwanda, South Africa, Congo

15. Give up shopping for a year

16. Be on the board of an organization I believe in (Beginning in October 2012!)

17. Go Sky-Diving!

18. Adopt a child

19. Visit Morocco

20. Get a dog

21. Learn how to scuba dive

22. Travel to every continent

23. Raise $1,000 for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation

24. Spend more than 1 week serving in a mission field (spent 2 weeks in Belgium)

25. Buy a nice camera and learn how to use it well

26. Openly fail at something, don’t make excuses. Process it honestly. (Fall 2012 – Spring 2013 have been such a time of growth)

27. Visit Cinque Terre and the Almafi Coast in Italy

28. Become fluent in French (again, for real this time)

29. Read the Bible all the way through, then read the Quran

30. Travel to the Holy Lands

31. Play guitar again, and learn 5 new performable songs

32. Raise children who speak French (and English, duh!)

33. Go on a hot air balloon ride

34. Repair a broken relationship (October 2011, and so happy to have done so)

35. Learn to play the piano

36. Teach my children to ski in Steamboat Springs, Colorado

37. Take a Biblical tour of Greece, based on Paul’s travels in the New Testament

38.  Audition for a play or musical… or both!

39. Take a vow of silence for at least 1 day, for a worthy cause

40. Buy a home

41. Live in a big city

42. Write a travel guide to Europe: expound on my Paris and Italy guides

43. Take a trip to visit one of the real heart friends in my life each year, no matter the location

44.Take a “continuing education” class on European Art History

45. Be in a movie

46. Try a bold style I’m afraid is “too much”

47. Write a song and perform it

48. Live in Atlanta again

49. Read the classics I only skimmed in high school: The Great Gatsby, Catcher in the Rye, To Kill a Mockingbird, Brave New World, The Count of Monte Cristo

50. Stand up for something I believe in, no matter the cost
